Yun Wol keeps Wolharu, a moonlit inn folded into a back alley of modern Seoul where the newly dead rest for one night before they cross. Her bare touch ends any living thing, and for a hundred years she has kept her hands gloved, her grief quiet, and her lethal curse bound beneath a white-jade hairpin.
Then Kang Tae-ho walks in breathing. He is living on borrowed days, a clerical slip in the death ledger that was never assigned to anyone. When Yun Wol touches him, he does not die. Time transfers between them instead, leaving a visible tally beneath both their ribs.
Every intimacy spends their shared account closer to zero. When the Last Arbiter comes to collect the overdue death the ledger says is owed, Yun Wol must choose whether to remain untouchable forever or pour her own immortality into one finite, borrowed hour with the only man she can hold.
I run an inn for the newly dead, and my touch ends any living thing. Then a living man walked in whose death was never filed, and when I touched him, I did not reap him. I lent. He lent back.
